Here are some of the senior citizens fulfilling their dreams, virtually! Some wished to chart new territory, while others returned to a beloved memory from their past. Either way, 92 is the new 29! The following Toronto residences, agencies and Long Term Care facilities participated: Amica Balmoral, Cedarvale Terrace, Christie Gardens, Del Manor Yonge, Kennedy Lodge LTC, Main St. Terrace LTC, Oasis/Dufferin Seniors’ Centre, The O’Neill Centre, the Toronto Council on Aging and Vermont Square LTC.

Elizabeth loved this Dream Scene which she gave to her grandson but she didn’t want her face on the internet. It took me hours to collage it and I’m quite proud of it, so I stuck my face in there, even though I’m not QUITE a senior yet!

Doris was a major collaborator in my DREAM SCENES work, creating 17 scenes over two years, using the same pose. She only stepped onto my green screen once, but we would discuss and plan a new scene often when I visited her with my therapy dog, Casey. Doris died suddenly two months before her 100th birthday, leaving me and many others heartbroken. There’s no love without loss.
